The Clearlake Student Council!

 -What is the Student Council?

-Student Council gives a small group of students an opportunity to participate in a variety of activities that are focused on making our school a more enjoyable place to learn. The club gives students an opportunity to develop any suggestions, projects, activities, or other ideas, which will help make our school and community a better place. Student council members will organize several school-wide events such as fundraisers, dances, food drives, and many other projects in order to improve our school. Any seventh grade or eighth grade student who is interested in joining Student Council must sign-up towards the beginning of the year and then attend all required meetings or events.

-What are a few Student Council Events?

-Feed the Need:

-This is a school-wide canned food drive competition organized by the Student Council, to help families in Cocoa.

          -Recycling Drive:

-Students will participate in a school-wide competition to collect soda bottles, which will be recycled locally.

          -Valentine’s Day Dance:

-Everything from the decoration, preparation, and ticket sales for the dance will be handled by Student Council.

          -Trash Bash:

-At the end of the year, students will participate in a local community service activity that counts towards graduation.
